Congratulations to Giulia Corniani for winning 3rd place in the Work-in-progress poster category at EuroHaptics2022 for her work on sub-surface skin imaging during dynamic contact! Work with Benoit Delhaye, Matt Carré, Zing Lee, Roger Lewis. Insigneo Institute
Yesterday we had a Neutouch meeting at The University of Sheffield.Thank you Giulia Dominijanni for the amazing talk to update us on your study. We're all looking forward to new collaborations🤞🏻 Active Touch Shef Plasticity Lab Tony Prescott Hannes Saal Miguel Casal Giulia Corniani Pablo Salazar
- Yesterday, I submitted my PhD thesis🥳🤞 - Today marks exactly 3 years since I joined Active Touch Shef and started my journey in NeuTouch_project - In 2 weeks, I will present my work at #SfN on measuring sub-surface skin deformation in vivo and dynamic conditions☝️ What an exciting time!🤩
🚨IT’S OUT🚨 Super happy to coauthor with Giulia Corniani a study exploring population coding in human tactile afferents. Paper is now published in PLOS Comp Biol and comments are more than welcome. Link ⬇️⬇️⬇️
New paper! 🚨 We introduce footsim- a model simulating realistic cutaneous afferent activation on the foot sole 🦶 sciencedirect.com/science/articl… with Natalija Katic Secerovic Rodrigo Kazu Luke Cleland, PhD Nick Strzalkowski Leah Stanisa Raspopovic Hannes Saal
2000: my very first day as a student 2023: finally, #PhDone ✌️ I couldn't have asked for a better PhD experience, thanks to the invaluable support of my exceptional supervisor Hannes Saal and colleagues at NeuTouch_project and Active Touch Shef. Here's to the next one (just a few days away)!
Are you working on touch? Join our workshop, Neuromorphic Technologies for Touch Perception, at IEEE World Haptics Conference and present your work in a poster session. We look forward to meeting you there! #worldhaptics2023 #stayInTouch
What a week last one! I presented my PhD work at IEEE World Haptics Conference and graduated from The University of Sheffield. I truly enjoyed my PhD, mostly thanks to my supervisor Hannes Saal and colleagues/friends of NeuTouch_project. A bit sad this is coming to an end, but science and life will keep us in touch✌🏻
Excited to share that my first journal paper as a postdoc at Harvard Medical School's Motion Analysis Lab is out! This pilot study is part of a longitudinal project using ML and wearables to study X-linked dystonia-parkinsonism. Take a look! doi.org/10.1038/s41598…
