“I only like cyclists when they’ve been run over.” The disgusting, damaging viewpoint adopted by a major “journalist” and political figure in Italy 🇮🇹. Somebody needs to educate the man in the Tifosi’s rich cycling heritage. Or just educate him full stop. Embarrassing.

Devastated to learn of Muriel Furrer’s passing. An incredibly promising rider, snatched away far too soon. God speed. #Zurich2024

Hesitant to speculate in the wake of such a horrendous tragedy, but if any semblance of this is true, heads must roll at the UCI. An internal embargo screams of massive flaws in the safety protocols at this worlds, consistent with rider complaints about the TT. #Zurich2024

The first Triple Crown since 1987. We are witnessing one of, if not the, greatest riders of all time. Tadej Pogacar that is truly special. #Zurich2024

90 minutes between the rider falling, and medical support locating her. An hour and a half. And the crash was fatal. Disgraceful doesn’t come close. A disturbing enditement of the UCI priority list.

I’m by no means a TP superfan, but this thread is plain spiteful. I’ve never understood the impetus of the vocal, hyper-critical minority who seem to take great joy in tearing our sport apart with surreptitious digs, and associations with doped former pros. So strange.

By all means enjoy opening your presents… your mid morning bucks fizz.. your selection box.. 20 pigs in blankets.. too many sprouts.. too much pudding...  a turkey butty..  your mince pie and brandy butter…  But enjoy it by being disciplined! 😉 Merry Christmas everybody 🎅🏻

There is, quite literally, nothing like it. Piazza del Campo, the best rider of his generation in the rainbow bands, bumper tifosi crowd. This is why we love the sport. 😮‍💨

Just watched that MSR finish 🇮🇹 Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say you were beaten by the best rider on the day. A heartbreaker for the tifosi, but an otherworldly display of raw power from MVDP 🇳🇱 Sensational drama once again, but the cream rises to the top!

Can completely understand Lowry’s perspective here, and player welfare is crucial. This is elite sport though. The media coverage is what drives growth, and gets him paid extortionate sums. It’s a dangerous precedent to sanitise that output. Something about cake comes to mind?

Huge afternoon for the Corey Addai haters 🙄. Let’s blame a player who’s been quality since he returned to the side, because that’s easier than admitting that our midfield looks lost in transition and we can’t put games to bed. Scapegoating has never been, or will be, the answer
