For the Top 10 papers on the International Mycorrhiza Society Newsl., I screen over 600 papers each year. I see a lot of the same old stuff a lot of people have done a lot. This review suggest that up to 89% of studies in ecology are ‘research waste’ & I think this happens a lot in mycorrhizas!
