We have reached a settlement with Collier Enterprises regarding Rivergrass Village, the first approved village for the Rural Lands Stewardship Area (RLSA) in eastern Collier County. Our challenge against Rivergrass has been our largest legal battle. buff.ly/3Y1fu9x

The Nature Center and electric boat tours will be closed starting Sunday, September 3 through Monday, September 25. The Wildlife Hospital will remain open from 8 am to 7 pm every day and will receive admissions during this time. Hospital staff can be reached at (239) 262-2273.

Sea turtle nesting may be coming to a close on Southwest Florida beaches, but the hatching of their nests is proceeding full steam. Although not a record like last year, an above-average year of 515 nests on Keewaydin Island has our biologists busy. buff.ly/3QOMnoy
