RIP to one of the most influential Psychologists, Daniel Kahneman. Even with Thinking, Fast and Slow's popularity, he remained open to having his findings challenged. His commitment to the evolution of psychology serves as a reminder of the importance of intellectual honesty.

Did you know that 4 out of 10 veterans struggle with gambling problems? Did you know that gambling is also related to PTSD? We want to help by developing a phone app that delivers treatment to veterans with PTSD and associated gambling harm. Stay tuned for updates on the project.

So nice to hear Andy Przybylski being a much-needed voice of reason on Radio 4 right now. Smartphone bans feel like a powerful solution but they really aren’t, and they’re going to cause a wealth of problems down the line.

We (Leon Xiao Conor Heath) highlight how Gambling operators are acting against the spirit of Italian law, which aimed to ban all gambling sponsorship in sports How? They simply add a non-gambling suffix (e.g. .NEWS) to the logo Will this occur after the UK front of shirt ban?

We (Conor Heath, Leon Xiao, Philip Newall) relayed our findings to the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority. Good that they are aware of the issue, hopefully the loopholes will be closed soon - though these decoy brands have been used for at least 2-years at this point.

Here we describe a recent form of gambling promotion that we term “content hijacking”. It’s very present here on X, and involves the assimilation of gambling logos into non-gambling related memes or videos Check out our commentary in Addiction below 👇🏻 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ad…
