The Bob Graham round and 214 peaks trophies a collaboration between our beautiful slate and Wild Indigo Artisan Design amazing glass, currently on display in the Armitt Ambleside or available to order from us

With help from QEST we trained Liam to be the 4th generation slate worker he is (now for Burlington).
But he went to college in B-in-F and studied “engineering shop practice” it was the closest thing they had to slatemasonry.
Who trains the next generation of our craft? & where?

A beautiful sunny morning. Though I’d share ‘Twilight Meadow’. A deep blue glass with texture and shadow, all mounted on a beautiful cumbrian slate base from Coniston Stonecraft . I enjoyed this one very much 😊

Sarah delivered the glass for another 214 trophy, it’s already sold to a fella who’s done the Bob Graham Round and the 214 and wants suitable trophies to remind him of these epic feats
It’s got to be better than a Chinese medal, and only the price of a pair of walking boots.

This was the only Westmorland green slate coasters I had to take back from Rheged on Saturday, what is wrong with this one? All the rest sold out.
Who knew hand crafted, unique, locally quarried in the Lake District, beautiful slateware would be so popular?

A really enjoyable day yesterday at the Rheged 40 farms fair, thank you to everyone who came, I sold out of all but 1 of the Westmorland green coasters (very popular - who knew) could’ve sold the illuminith 10x over, and took several orders for the dialect clock, 😃👍

I went to a fascinating talk yesterday evening, at a packed Maulds Meaburn village institute.
John Dunning is 90 and still sharp as a pin, he told me he gives pride of place in his office to the trophy we made for his ‘Cumbrian lifetime achievement award’.

Dialect and craft, You only keep them alive if you use them.

We will have a stall at Rheged this Saturday with a selection of our crafted wares, we would be delighted to see you there
