Sketching the presentation box with Year 10 Engineering today using an isometric grid. Planning the finger joints & lid. Also shows the presentation box under construction with clear acrylic lid. This just needs a base & then glued up & clamped before adding an oil or wax finish.

Year 8 classes are completing the manufacturing of their fold up mobile phone/ tablet stands. Manufactured from recycled wood, laser plywood and acrylic plastic laser cut with colour graphics added using a heat press. Well done Year 8!

Construction of Y10 Engineering Display box. Demonstration of assembly and gluing up the main body with acrylic laser cut and etched sliding lid & base. The box is now ready for finishing. A carry handle will then be added once the box has been sanded down then oiled or waxed.

Diolch yn fawr iawn to everyone who supported the Year 8 Careers Fair. The pupils enjoyed being given the opportunity to find out about a variety of careers. It was also lovely to see some past pupils attending the event. We hope to see all our visitors again next year!
