Today, we spoke with international sanctions lawyer Chloe Cina about the key role Parliament can play in working alongside government departments to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of future UK sanctions.

Last week, we travelled to the United States to visit New York and Washington, D.C. In New York, we visited the United Nations and held meetings with the UN Secretary-General, as well as several Permanent Representatives to discuss UN reform and UK penholdership.

In the United States, we discussed foreign affairs with UN Permanent Representatives from around the world, before meeting key US-based think-tanks, Congressional Foreign Affairs Committees and key Senators and Representatives.

In the US, we met with the Acting Sanctions Co-ordinator, Senator Bernie Sanders, the UK Ambassador to the US, Co-Chairs of the House UK Caucus and the Chair and Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. We also held a roundtable with British American Business.
