As the Joint monitoring for nursery beds and restoration sites continued, yesterday the team visited Rwembuzi Restoration site, in Kashija karukoba community, in Kabale District Local Government. CommonGround Project Today held a refresher training on Framer to farmer in Kitumbi community in Bunyangabu District Local Government. To restore the lost tree cover in Elgon region, Shiteka Shishendu community members in Bubiita subcounty Bududa District hare started planting indigenous trees on Nabikyinji restoration site. The community also decided to take this advantage trees to replace the earlier planted trees that eere not doing well and also learn from the current implemented practice like planted Napier and vetiver grass. Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda WUR Environmental ISSD Uganda

Later in the day we distributed trees agroforestry trees to the community of Namamuka in Bushiyi subcounty. 1500 calliandra, 800 musizi and 200 Cordia trees were planted both in people's gardens and on the restoration site. Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda WUR Environmental ISSD Uganda

Farmers from Gikolo community in Busanza subcounty Kisoro district were intrinsically motivated on their nursery bed. Distribution of tree seedlings of Caliandra, coffee, Prunus Africana, Misizi and cocoa today happened in Busayiro -karambi community, Karugutu S/C NTOROKO DLG. The tree are to be planted on restoration sites, and farmers gardens. Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda WUR Environmental ISSD Uganda
