Wonderful collaborative play & self organisational skills last week. H said “We are playing Duck, Duck Goose.” D said “Let’s play basketball.” Lots of good teamwork and play interactions with friends.

Last week the children initiated their own ideas outside. “ Can we build a den?” One box of loose part’s resources and the children set to work. Planning, problem solving, interacting, helping each other and sharing to build their amazing dens.

Purple Group had a busy day at the woods today. We created nature wands, explored the woods, climbed trees and visited the ducks. "This day has been awesome" Said D 💜🌿🦆

The children have demonstrated their concentration, fine motor skills and ability to share their thoughts and ideas as they create beautifully detailed pictures and discuss them with their friends.

Super sewing from these three creative girls. They all asked to make Matilda dresses. They made a drawing of their design ideas, sourced all the materials needed and demonstrated wonderful sewing skills in making their creations. Afterwards they decided to put on a Matilda show.

Today there was lots of discussion and excitement about the Scotland game. We created some Scotland flags, talked about the different countries competing and took part in a football training session. “I’m going to watch it,Scotland will win”Said F. Good Luck Scotland!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We celebrated H’s birthday today. We sang happy birthday and then she chose to play with her friends and read some stories. 🎂

A busy week outdoors this week. The children have been very creative painting, drawing, building dens, and bunk beds. There has been an interest in bugs and flowers too.🌻🌷

⭐️Reminder⭐️ our Summer Walk will take place on Wednesday 26th June. All children will attend this event. We require as many family helpers as possible. Please add your name to the sign up sheet located in the cloakroom if you are able to attend. ☀️🌳

Lots of excitement yesterday as we met our P1 teachers. We spent time together exploring our classroom and playing with our classmates. “It was fun” Said A “I liked my classroom” Said I 😊

There’s has been a high interest in singing our YMI Falkirk songs this week which has led to our children creating stages and organising shows for one another. 🎶⭐️

This week outside the children have been highly engaged in water play with some great teamwork and problem solving going on. The children also picked some flowers, pressed them and used them to make cards.🌸🌼🌺Risky play and mark making has also been popular.

On Tuesday we welcomed some of our new children and families who will be joining us after the summer to the ELC. It was lovely to meet you all and can’t wait for you to join us in August. 👋😀

What a fun day we had ay Briarlands Farm. We went on a tractor ride, seen different animals and played outside all day! Lots of tired children on the way home 😴 thank you to all of our parent helpers and staff for making this a success! 🌟

Yesterday we celebrated J’s birthday. We sang happy birthday and he chose a gift from the birthday box. We hope you had a great day!🎁🎈

Yesterday G celebrated her birthday with all her friends. There was lots of interest in what was going to be chosen from the birthday box. G chose a little xylophone and enjoyed playing it at home and at nursery. Happy birthday G 🎂

Today we had a surprise baby shower for Mrs Faulds who is finishing up today to begin maternity leave. We will all miss you so much and can’t wait to meet Baby Faulds after the summer 👶🏻 🩵🩷
