We visited the Leicester Comedy Festival in the search of early Edfringe previews. Our picks of the festival are incoming.

Tom Lawrinson - some of the best stand-up I’ve seen in Leicester. This isn’t the best hour, but some gags are brilliant! Tom will be, and deserves to be huge!

Ed Night - Another WIP. Early stages but things look good! This could easily turn into something special. Some of the best writing we’ve seen at this festival.

Liam Withnail - WIP that feels like it could be as meaningful and emotional as his last. He has the basis of what should be another fringe must see.

Alwin Solanky - THAT WHICH DOES NOT EXIST. How can something so meaningless, become so meaningful? Blown away by how good this was! It’s a must see.

Barry Ferns: My 7 Years as Lionel Richie - What a brilliant show. Loved it! Lots of fun and funny throughout.

MARJOLEIN ROBERTSON - We didn’t get the full WIP show, but we did have a brilliant time. It sounds like the new show will tell the story of Marjoleins introduction into Comedy. It’s one that sounds as tragic as it does funny. We can’t wait for it!
