Robust rhythm reporting will advance ecological and evolutionary research. New paper by Taylor Hersh , @AndreaRavignani and @LaraBurchardt . doi.org/10.1111/2041-2….
1/5) I would call this one a labor of love but it was mostly just love… new Perspective out in Methods in Ecology and Evolution with @AndreaRavignani and @LaraBurchardt! We introduce an eight-level reporting framework for research on acoustic rhythms. Read the paper at: besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
5/5) As always, the underlying data and code are available at Center for Open Science: osf.io/jnpqh/. This work was done at Comparative Bioacoustics Group MaxPlanck-Psycholinguistics and the illustrations are by the very talented Aline V.
Yesterday we hosted Jelle van der Werff, from the Comparative Bioacoustics Group at the MaxPlanck-Psycholinguistics. He gave an overview of his research with @AndreaRavignani and introduced a new Python package: thebeat. #rhythm #beat
