Our 1st Shift crews made quite the rescue this morning after a worker was injured while on the roof of a commercial property off of Clemson Road. Firefighters used the aerial on Ladder 4 to help get the patient down and into EMS care.

Several of our Columbia-Richland Fire Department members stepped up this week to assist Senior Resources with their Meals on Wheels program during Community Champions Week! They were happy to help with making meal deliveries to our area seniors and those who are homebound.

Our 1st Shift crews made a quick stop on a vehicle fire that happened near the University of South Carolina campus Thursday afternoon. Firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 3:40 p.m. to find fire spreading through a catering truck. No one was injured but the truck suffered heavy damages.

THIS SATURDAY August 31st come out to cheer on Columbia Fire Hockey as they take on the Richland Blueliners in the annual Battle of the Badges! 🏒 Donations will be taken at the door and all proceeds raised will go to support injured firefighters Mario Trejo & Brice Minick.
