If anyone has a clear western view tonight May 1st, close to the horizon almost due west from 6pm to 7pm you may catch the Comet 12p/Pons-Brooks pulling level with Aldebaran (the red eye of Taurus). Indicated in Pic 1 as a red squiggle behind that bloody tree.

Today Anthony Albanese as PM and leader of the Australian Labor delivered more for social justice and gender violence alleviation than the ENTIRE Liberals (and not just dud Peter Dutton ) have delivered within my 70 plus years.

If Labor was voted in for this alone it was worth it!

Cloud cover is preventing me from shooting and posting today´s Shag Moon.

My wife took her Canon Bridge camera up the hill this morning,

She uses her own settings for aperture and shutter speed and eshews using the pre-programmed settings in the camera.

I will give you a sequence from 6:44pm to 6:53pm showing the progression of Comet 12p/Pons-Brooks over the Liverpool Plains of NSW on the evening of April 28 2024.
