Watching a 8th grade boys game & through 3 quarters I only saw 2 shots that weren’t 3 pointers & no plays run. 🤦‍♂️

Can you all just start saying “Committed- for the time being” when you announce your college commitment. Just for the sake of being honest.

I am so grateful to have a coaching staff that cares enough to want to get together on our own time to discuss how we can make our program a better experience for our players.

Yes! HS transfer culture is ruining HS sports. It’s only going to get worse. Unless we do something! si.com/high-school/or…

Jaime Carreon (@coach_carreon) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Yes sir. Only getting worse. This is not good for sports in general. Players aren’t wanting to play & we’re slowly losing coaches & who could blame them.

In just the first 11 days of Dec. in girls basketball, 25% of ALL games (1A-6A) reported on the AIA site were won by 15 pts or less. TWENTY FIVE PERCENT!!!! This isn’t ok. I want more competitive games! We’re loosing the essence of what HS sports are supposed to be about.

If you coach any sport in HS. You should not be allowed to coach that same sport in club as well. I would be a fan of that rule change. I think that would help with all this “recruiting”. Didn’t say it would solve it. High school athletics is not what it used to be.

We’re slowly & surely losing HS sports. -Less kids trying out (cutting lower level teams ) -Coaches don’t stay -Less people at games b/c they know who’s going to win. -More demoralizing games than ever before. I’m stating facts but I also want to be a part of the solution

If players are showing up everyday and working hard and not enjoying it or getting any better. The fault lies squarely on my shoulders as their coach.

Parents, if a coach is trying to convince your kid to play for them & you’re not zoned to play at that school. That coach is risking their job, their team’s season, & doesn’t care about your kids future.

Most HS athletes won’t play beyond HS. That’s why programs should be built for all kids, not just the few who’ll move on. The lessons, memories & growth should belong to everyone who wears the jersey. Build environments where all feel valued—HS sports should be about HS athletes!
