KHSAA could have sent a message to try and correct the wild wild west that high school sports have now turned into. Instead they sent the message that it’s okay to recruit and cheat as you’ll just get a slap on the wrist.

He hates the recognition, but it’s much deserved for all the he does for others. Congratulations to not only a great coach, but an even better person and friend Steve Fromeyer.

There’s no one more deserving than Brent Sowder! Loyalty, compassion, and high quality character are just a few things he entails. Lucky to call him a friend.

In Kentucky only one team goes home happy in the end. To our @Scotteaglebball seniors, thank you. There’s a bond between player and coach that will never be broken. No better group of young man that I loved bringing my sons around during the season.

What Cal did from 2009-2019 with Kentucky may never be duplicated again. However, we can all agree that the last 5 years were unacceptable. Although a little part of me is sad, it was time. If it’s not Hurley, Wright or Nate Oats we may be in even more trouble.

Hey Mitch Barnhart, my wife loves Lexington/proud graduate. I’ll settle for $100K a year, house, transportation & nanny for twins. They’ve already signed their NIL through previous coach and haven’t decommited yet. Recruiting is a weakness but I’ll hire assistants with $ saved

To the group of unknowns, that were assembled in mere weeks and battled adversity, thank you. You restored pride for the name across the front of the jersey and excitement that had lacked for years. Let’s get ready for boom season Mark Pope Kentucky Men’s Basketball
