If you're surprised Austin Gauthier walked, then let that be the one and only time. Last year he was in the rare air of having a WRC+ over 150, and more walks than strikeouts. As Austin Brubaker has noted, players that do that, just once, have reached the MLB at a 75% clip. #dodgers

Austin Gauthier just unloaded on his 1st HR! I've seen Gauthier get a bunch of hits in his day, but never have I seen him hit one like this, that I can remember at least. Gauthier hit .293 last year, had a BB% of 16.3, a WRC+ of 195 at the High A level & 129 with Tulsa. #dodgers

Austin Gauthier is hitting .474 since his AAA promotion! PCL is hitter friendly because of high altitude locations, but he's played at OKC & Sugar Land & neither are that. K% & BB% are identical at AAA & his BB% was 5.5 points higher than K% at AA. AA WRC+ 161, 234 with AAA OKC.

Austin Gauthier continues to do what he does! That would be....gather a ton of hits, stay inside the ball, use the entire field, drive in runs & be just a GREAT overall hitter. He's hitting .327 in AAA so far, OPS .931 & has 21 RBIs in 131 total at bats this year. #dodgers
