I post a lot about the cool things I get to teach but I really love my job for all the extra joys involved. I got to see a former student & talked to a parent of a current student last night. Both warmed my❤️I love my kids more than I love my content And that’s saying something!

It’s been a busy week in PBS! Microscopic hair analysis, fingerprint dusting, Kastle-Meyer blood tests, and blood typing! getting closer to solving the mysterious death of Anna Garcia!

This is true in the classroom and on the court. It’s about growth, not perfection.

Nothing screams “biomed teacher” like prepping 120+ petri dishes at home for labs this week. At least I got to be in slippers while doing it! 😂

Update: MI students were able to confirm that our E. Coli strains are resistant to ampicillin and streptomycin! And they looked great while doing it 😎#PCR3PROUD

It was all about DNA this week in PBS! We extracted it from strawberries and modeled it with craft supplies. Next week we will analyze it in Gel Electrophoresis.
