Jay Wright on focusing on what you can control "Your attitude is your greatest characteristic. You don't control your intelligence, your size, or your God-given talents. What you do control, though, is your attitude.” (Via The Winning Difference 🎥)

2032 Blue defended their state title in convincing fashion this past weekend. This group’s attitude, effort, and passion is special. So fun to coach and be around. 🩵💛

Great coaches are truth tellers. “When you experience failure you have two options. You can either tell yourself the truth or you can lie to yourself.” Truth builds trust. Truth builds toughness. Truth builds better teams.

3. The more you force bad shots trying to prove you can score, the more you just show you can't make certain shots. Efficiency is more valuable than volume. 4. No need to make hero plays on defense. A lot of the hero plays being made in AAU will be fouls or points in college.

7. If you want to stand out, get yourself into great shape. The more consistently you can perform at your highest level, the more you will grow your game. 8. Be a great teammate. Talk, high five, celebrate hustle! Teams that play with true joy usually handle hard well. HAVE FUN!

"The great ones want to be disciplined - want to be held accountable. It's the other ones that don't." If you can’t handle accountability and discipline, you won’t handle success. The great ones understand that greatness isn’t given; it’s demanded every single day.

Pretty crazy stat… The wolves have 21 turnovers and give up 19 O boards…yet only lose by 2 points. Thunder essentially got 40 more tries to score than the wolves, and only beat them by 2??

Watched you win a 🏆 on the court and now watched you get a masters degree🎓 Success is nothing secretive or flashy…it’s just working really hard no matter what and loving what you do. So proud of you babe ❤️

Believe it or not it’s still ok to tell players… “That’s not good enough. Do it again.” “Try harder. You’re moving too slow.” “Start listening or leave.”
