As I walked to #KingstonChess this morning I took a picture of the street sculpture seen here. On arrival at the venue the next picture I took happened to be Graeme Buckley talking to Supratit Banerjee. Then later I looked at the two together... LOL

♟ Kingston Invitational fills the summer league gap with top-class chess & IM norm chances. This year honours IM Gavin Wall & Paul Durrant, two giants of local chess. Great to see so many fresh from the #BritishChess Champs back in action — some can’t get enough!

Kudos to KingstonChess on a really nice event this week, with a Swiss and IM norm tournament running in parallel. Well done to Stephen Moss, the arbiters and the rest of the organising team - hosting an event of this magnitude requires great derring-do and adaptability.

Congraultions to Peter Large who won last night's Epsom Blitz with a record 11/11 score! 2nd was FM Jon Ady, with a towering 10/11 and 'El Presidente' Marcus Gosling came 3rd on 8/11. We managed to raise £117.50 for the club through cash donations on the night - another record!

Another nice 'Chess & Chill' session yesterday morning at the Bonjour Café in Epsom. We have been running these relaxed sessions every Wednesday from 11am alongside our regular Monday evening club night.
