Mill Pool Way road closure postponed until January 2026. So having done a letter drop 10 days ago warning residents of the road closure, I am now doing another letter drop to let them know the road won’t be closed on Monday.

I was pleased to be able to support #Sandbach Mayor John Arnold at the Remembrance Sunday services in St Mary’s and at the cemetery today. Lest we forget.

It may seem strange for me, the Cheshire East Climate Change Champion, to encourage people to clear trees, but birch trees can stop peat bogs recovering by drying out the ground. Thank you to all those volunteering for this work.

🚫 Personal hygiene items don’t belong in recycling. They contaminate the whole load. Please put them in your black general waste bin. Let’s keep recycling clean and effective. #RecycleRight #Contamination

During very cold weather the waste inside your garden bin can freeze together. It means that it won't tip out when we try to empty your bin. If you’re able to, try storing your bin in a warmer spot in between collections, such as in a shed or beside your house. #Waste #FrozenBins

Cheshire East Council gritters will be out tonight. The weather forecast is for rain tonight and it is marginal as to whether it will then go below zero in the early hours of Wednesday morning, so take care in the morning as there could be ice on the roads and pavements.

Tomorrow, #Macclesfield Central will vote for its next Cheshire East Councillor. I’m standing on a proudly progressive platform that focuses not on playing politics, but getting on with the hard work that my community deserves from its Councillors. Proud to be #FromMaccForMacc

Important to remember that the Assisted Dying bill was in no one’s manifesto, had inadequate scrutiny in the commons, passed with a much reduced majority at 3rd reading, is attracting increasing opposition from experts and that Lords have the right and duty to scrutinise it well.
