Mackay: STUC General Secretary predicts strikes... who can blame her? “The starting point for this is our refusal to accept the denigration of our public services generally, or the continued chronic underfunding of our local authorities specifically”. heraldscotland.com/politics/viewp…

A figment of your vivid imagination. Had you been on the Planning Board I am sure you would have declared an interest given your associations.

I see Glasgow could be in the running to host 2026 Commonwealth Games. Don’t forget the ‘legacy’ for people with learning disabilities after 2014. They lost their centre - bulldozed to make way for a bus park for The Games - and hasn’t been replaced. It’s now derelict wasteland.

This week I've been out in Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire campaigning with our brilliant General Election candidates.

This week’s polls and conversations on the doors show real momentum for change with Scottish Labour

Political parties struggle at times to get candidates to stand at elections. This leads to people being encouraged to stand who don't know what they are letting themselves in for. All it takes is one misstep in the middle of a febrile political environment and you become the news

Just watched the full story on STV. No comment from Glasgow City Council. How can the Scottish Commonwealth Games Committee bid to host the games in Glasgow without the support of Glasgow City Council? Are they trying to bounce the Council into supporting a bid?

Our campaign in Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey is officially up and running! The Tories and SNP may be lagging in the polls, but they have deep pockets. If you can afford to, please consider helping to level the playing field: gofund.me/e2f42697
