Another fun day at the Summer Scheme with Melton Mencap

Spent a relaxing afternoon at Melton Country Park with Madeleine today. Second Afternoon Tea in 2 days. Enjoyed sandwhich and cake and caught up with lots of people not seen fo a while. Reminiscing with friends about past times and people we all knew.

Successful Afternoon Tea at Melton Mencap celebrating the Queens Jubilee. Lots of cakes and sandwiches. It was good to see the Mayor Cllr Alan Hewson and Cllr Malise Graham ( Our President) there.
Thank you Clare and members for all the work you did, making and preparing the tea.

Good to see front line workers being recognised for all they do at the Royal British Legion Centenary Dinner last night.

Really poignant such talent in dreadful situations. All people working together wanting to save their country.

Mr Cartwright you know Cllrs get an allowance, given to help us with our work as Cllr's it is not a wage. So I choose to pay for a stall on Melton Market on the last Saturday of the month from my allowance and that is my choice. I put a cover on the stall. Any Cllr can join me.
