Over a year with a government & what have the Exec parties done to return Emergency General Surgery to SWAH? Absolutely NOTHING! I asked them last night would any of them bring this issue to the Executive? Not one of them said they would. Talk is worthless when they could act!

There are legitimate reasons for Ministers to travel, and no one expects them to stay in hostels when they do. But spending tens of thousands of pounds on five star hotels while complaining about lack of funds is not defensible and the SDLP Opposition is holding them to account.

The SDLP wants to build an Ireland that is welcoming to all who choose to call this place home. The DUP, however, is plumbing new depths by pushing divisive politics reminiscent of Enoch Powell. We were proud to stand today against the DUP's right-wing, populist nonsense.

As genocide continues in Gaza, the SDLP is calling on the UK to recognise Palestine, like Ireland, Norway, Spain and others already have. It’s not a radical step. It’s a moral one.

Racism and hatred have no place in our community and the DUP's racist, anti-immigrant dogwhistles are disgusting. The DUP's attempts to cosplay as Nigel Farage are pathetic and should be called out.

This needs to be highlighted. An Executive minister revealed where those fleeing racist violence where sheltering, whilst complaining about not being told about it. Gordon Lyons put lives at risk yesterday, he most definitely should be reported for this.

Today in the Assembly, the SDLP has an Opposition Day motion to stop new mining licences. Seven licences have already been approved, with almost no public scrutiny. Communities have been ignored and the rules aren’t fit for purpose.

You can't demand better in Dublin and defend failure in Stormont. Opposition Leader Matthew O'Toole calls out the Sinn Fein-DUP delivery record and the low standards people in the North are expected to accept.

Whether it's on childcare or Casement, health or housing, the Executive has failed to deliver on its promises to the electorate. When livelihoods are at stake we cannot settle for a performance which simply isn't good enough. They made the promises. We've kept the receipts.

Bonfires are a tradition enjoyed by many- without asbestos, or racism or sectarian baiting, without risking homes. Then there are those for whom hate, confrontation & media rows seem to be the whole purpose. Intricate effigies of humans beings, for burning. Who is this for?

Fermanagh must be heard on SWAH! The rapid sellout of the public consultation event shows more are. I've asked the Trust to arrange more & the Health Minister needs to show up. If he's even going to consider permanently removing this service he needs to hear the people here!

Well done Fermanagh! We've shown that we will turn up in huge numbers and now the Trust are going to do that. Whilst its disappointing the first event has been postponed, there will now have to be many meetings across the county. Let's keep going folks! 🏨
