It's amazing how many of these nurses are coming to our isolation site because they are precariously housed to begin with. The vulnerable amongst the most exposed.

'a nurse was fired'. The assessing doctor who discharged this poor man? No? The administrators that allow a system that like this function? No? So only the nurse?

We have been asked to serve a second isolation centre in Brampton to serve our community further. We are need more nurses to join us. Qualities we are looking for: bravery, critical thinking, and a sense of justice to advocate for our patients. Join us! email [email protected]

The govt isn't giving the vaccine, skilled nurses are. We've been doing the heavy lifting 24/7 since before march. To demand that we administer vaccines 24/7 over Xmas is the last straw before we break. If you think it's important enough, do the 7pm-7am shift for 1/5 of your pay.

You can comment about his performance during the pandemic, inability to get a grasp on LTC, and numerous other gaffes....
But do not say shit about the cheesecake! It has done nothing but be delicious and should not be a victim by association with it's maker #istandforcheesecake

This morning, in our Peel Region isolation site, we set a personal best for swabs. 21 swabs in 30 mins.

25 patients admitted in the last 12 hours!

We had 25 admissions to our Homeless Isolation site yesterday. That does not include the ones who couldn't be transported to our site because Transhelp got overloaded (full marks to them for their great work nonetheless!).

PLEASE STAY HOME AND STOP THE SPREAD!

In Peel and covid positive with nowhere to safely and affordably isolate? Call the street helpline and get referred to the COVID isolation hotel. The rooms are nice, food is decent and brought to your door, and my nurses and I will be there to make sure you are ok.
