only a matter of time. they've gone from 'hey, you better let them fascists speak or we'll attack you... not cause we're fascists or nothing... we just ... we just we love speech' to full on entho-nationalism.

Great, now do GP fees, hospital hiring freezes, cancer wait times, disability support cuts... funny how these cuts, caused by govt underfunding, are 'operational decisions' a Minister can't possibly be involved in... But they can sort out the toast. rnz.co.nz/news/national/…

this is good. we should be aiming to offer a high profit, low quantity tourism experience that generates income for the country while not placing too much pressure on our environment and infrastructure.

govt's relying on PPPs to fill its massive funding gap. Locking in decades of future transport budgets to repay them many won't happen. too costly. not enough sector capacity. those that do will take forever. TG took 16yrs from 1st funding to opening & still isn't finished

Clint Smith (@clintvsmith) 's Twitter Profile Photo

TG was designed for 110kmh. NZTA has always said it would be implemented once the road is ready ... but turning bureaucratic work into something political is genius on Brown's part My builder voted National specifically because of this, not knowing it was going to happen anyway

🇳🇿New Zealand also removed incentives at the end of 2023 (and even made road taxes higher for EVs than ICEs), and the effect was much more stark, with EV sales dropping to levels not seen since 2021. 2/2

So, hang on, Luxon is in South Korea & he's not talking about the biggest trade issue between our countries - the ferry cancellation - with anyone? I assumed he was going to use his commercial experience to clean up Willis' mess What is he doing there? stuff.co.nz/politics/35040…

Clint Smith (@clintvsmith) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Haters gonna hate, but Luxon's goal of getting his employer to pay for lots of international travel with minimal actual work is very relatable.

Clint Smith (@clintvsmith) 's Twitter Profile Photo

do we reckon it'll stop Luxon repeating the 14 layers of management claim? He's still saying only 22% of kids can do maths, despite that being debunked.

is this the most anti-housing govt since Nats scrapped state house building in the 90s? -scrapped 6k a yr govt house build programme -building consents down to lowest level since the Key govt -sabotaged densification -removed tax incentive for investors to build, not buy existing

So, if I'm reading this right, ACT'S criticism isn't that the Government has taken away free GP visits for most young people in Hawke's Bay... .... it's that it didn't take away free GP visits from all young people in Hawke's Bay?

Clint Smith (@clintvsmith) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Hooton is right. The Treaty Principles Bill has always been wiping up anti-Māori sentiment on the right and wedging National - forcing National to either support the Bill or bleed votes to ACT Can't understand how Luxon bargained himself into this corner nzherald.co.nz/business/acts-…

promoting new laws by referencing successful dismantling of a gang under the old laws (and a police operation that's been going on since the last government)
