Break the silence poetry workshops start Wednesday 9th Oct! Can't wait for my collab with Manchester Poetry Library to begin. An opportunity for all Manchester Metropolitan Uni students AND staff to get creative, share what matters to them and perform what they've created in the moment! Very excited🥳
Teaching 'Creative reflection, poetry & self-awareness' today for the S24 Adult Nurse 1st years. Some awesome poems created, brilliant discussions about reflection for our mental health. A good few of them are now coming to 'Break the silence' at Manchester Poetry Library on Weds too! 🥳

The next Break the Silence workshop is open to everyone! The last 2 have been great with my MMU colleagues and students, but we've decided to open the last one of the year to the public! Yesterday morning a fellow cyclist fell off their bike infront of me on the ice, I swerved & went over my handlebars. I dislocated my right shoulder. It was agony. Shout out to my colleagues Manchester Royal Infirmary ED who put me back together! 🧡 Really sore today, take care out there.
I can't wait for the next BTS workshop on 13th February (1pm-4pm) Manchester Poetry Library. 'Fantastic afternoon. Really challenges my own sensibilities about being open and sharing. A worthwhile challenge for sure! Really engaging background and context for the topics and forms of poetry'
