The Clark County FD is advising the public (especially in Southwest Las #Vegas ) to expect smoky conditions due to fire training exercises with rookie firefighters on Thursday and Friday.

Hard earned and well deserved promotions. 22 of our Clark County FD firefighters earned the rank of Engineer in a ceremony at our Gov’t. Ctr. Amphitheater. Promotions were attained through on the job performance along with passing tests.

They do more than fight fires. Great work today by Clark County FD at an accident at a bridge at Tropicana and Frank Sinatra. A worker fell 10 about feet into a trench and needed to be lifted out. He's been taken to UMC Hospital.

Today we paid our final respects to our friend, our brother, Deputy Chief Warren Whitney. A husband, father, mentor, and friend, he was 28 year veteran of the Clark County FD. His final alarm answered, Chief Whitney will forever be missed.

What you need to know for New Year's Eve tonight!
🚧I-15 off-ramps at Flamingo in both directions will be shut down at 5:30 p.m.
🚧Las Vegas Blvd. from Spring Mountain to Tropicana will begin at 6:30 p.m.
🚧Las Vegas Blvd. from Sprg. Mnt. to Trop in both directions closed by 8 pm

On The Strip starting at 6 p.m. tonight:
🚫NO Strollers
🚫NO bags, backpacks, purses, luggage larger than 12'x12'x6'
🚫NO glass bottles or metal containers
⚠️Curfew for those up to 18 years old without a parent present

The RTC Southern Nevada is offering free rides on all 39 routes from 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day; several additional routes will run on a 24-hour schedule or with extended hours.
