Thank you Miss Sanderson for laying a wreath, on behalf of BBG, at the Menin Gate this evening. What an incredible privilege to be in Belgium today with the WYFRS Band #LestWeForget

Christmas came to #Slaithwaite tonight - fantastic atmosphere at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Slaithwaite Fire Station with WYFRS Band providing some carols while Santa did his job. Jonny the singing firefighter also on hand, and some snow right on cue! 🎅🏻🚒🎺❄️⛄️🎄

I think about my favourite person, my uncle Michael, every day, but today in particular I remember how he could light up a room and make everyone happy simply by being around. I miss him #WDSD2024

Once upon a time, a very long time ago now, about last Friday, Winnie-the-Pooh lived in a forest all by himself under the name of Sanders. (“What does ‘under the name’ mean?” asked Christopher Robin. It means he had the name over the door and he lived under it.”) ~A.A.Milne

Thank you, as always, to WYFRS Band Saxophone quartet for helping to create such a lovely atmosphere as our guests arrived at prom last night. Their music has become a BBG prom tradition! #TeamBBG🎶🚒🎷💙🎷💚🎷💙🎷🚒🎶

Day 2 of the Dales Way done ☑️ supported heavily by Arnica & Compeed 33.63km, 52,165 steps, 7 hours 34 minutes. More blisters, plenty of bug bites and a tough boggy terrain, made more difficult by shoe choice. Still lovely company 💛. Final day tomorrow. #LifeIsGood

After a brutal 57km final leg in the heat we have finished the Dales Way! 195,662 steps 135 km over three days. Very few toe nails left, several blisters and plenty of nettle rash but a heart full of pride. It may not have been 500 miles but it felt like it!
