The Senate just passed SF3071 authored by Senator Clare Oumou Verbeten which establishes plain language standards for written drivers exams, reducing barriers from unnecessarily complex or confusing language.
Proud of my sister Huldah for House for such a strong showing at the 38A convention.

Every Minnesotan deserves stable housing. That’s why Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, Kaohly Vang Her and I are working hard to end discrimination against those who use public assistance to pay for rent. This is a racial and disability justice issue. It’s time to pass the Housing Stability Act.
Last weekend, Sandy Pappas, Erin Murphy, Rep Finke and I attended FilmNorth’s open house. We secured $2 million in the bonding bill for their new facility in District 66 that will support independent filmmakers and empower artists to tell their stories.
Spent the morning meeting with Roseville Area Schools district leaders to discuss their 2024 legislative priorities.
It’s such an honor to advocate in the legislature for a school district that’s done so much to me and my family #ChooseRoseville 🤍🖤
Yesterday, I joined Sen. Bonnie Westlin and Rep Athena Hollins 🔥 at the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association’s 23rd Annual Conference. We spoke on the legislative panel about the work we’re doing to protect Queer communities in Minnesota. 🌈
Last night, I spoke at Minnesota Justice Research Center’s 2024 legislative preview panel about the work ahead to advance racial justice and reform our criminal legal system. I look forward to championing the bills in the Justice for All agenda this session!
