We need an urgent review of the proliferation and effectiveness of mandatory & statutory training requirements for health care staff.

I wish the incoming government would review the massive proliferation of statutory bodies which inspect, monitor, regulate and investigate health care staff. Yet not a single one to address their emotional and well being needs.

Any new Government has a moral duty to care for those who care for us. This means addressing causes of suffering; workload, loss of ‘belonging’ , lack of flexibility in training, lack of careers advise from start to finish, lack of time to care/think, as well as pay & conditions.

Rishi Sunak: I will bring back National Service - The Telegraph> I can’t help agreeing with ⁦Muir Gray⁩ that maybe us oldies who should engage in national service (if able). There’s lots of us and it would be a good way of saying ‘thank you’ apple.news/AbpFU0YVHQpSsR…

I wonder if we could stop calling referring to those who die trying to reach our shores as ‘migrants’. It devalues them. They’re people; men, women and children. People with families, friends, wives, husbands. Calling them ‘migrants’ acts to separate them from us. They are ‘us’

Numbers under regulator/disciplinary issues fallen from 40% to 3% over 15 years we believe due to improved access to NHS Practitioner Health -> significant cost saving to when factor in costs of Ix’s , dual costs of salary & locum if Dr is suspended, legal costs etc

I’m sorry NHS Practitioner Health are not responding to every email / tweet or communication. We are busy preparing information for various stakeholders to use over the next few days.

I feel very emotional as does NHS Practitioner Health team for all the wonderful support we have received since Friday. I promise - it is helping. Thank you so much, especially those who have publicly declared they were our patients.
