Disturbing deep The New York Times history of how Israel’s radical right-wing religious terrorist fringe led by outlaw West Bank settlers has, over 50 years, moved into the mainstream, wrecked democracy and now taken over the country.

The parallels with the U.S. right are chilling. 1/2

Fascinating thread with Justice Alito’s direct excuse. Remarkably he admits the upside-down flag flown on his home was a direct response to his wife being mad at a neighbor’s ‘Fuck Trump’ sign—ie an explicitly partisan gesture.

so Alito’s story is that a neighbor called his wife a treasonous confederate and cursed at her, and she responded by hoisting a treasonous confederate flag — and he thinks this is supposed to reassure us?

Alito is really the apotheosis of the judicial project because he doesn't really feel the need to hide that he's just a poster, but still demands the prestige of someone who isn't

Flying an insurrectionist flag is a totally normal response to a rude neighbor and has nothing to do with the true feelings of the Supreme Court Justice currently preventing Donald Trump from being tried for insurrection

Just no care in the world about even the appearance of fairness and impartiality.

Also what a bunch of snowflakes.
