Went on a lovely boat trip & did what Tory did when we were here 9 yrs ago…when the boat anchored in the sea I jumped in for a swim even though I didn’t know if there would be lots of seaweed or fish!! Lit a candle for my darling girl when we stopped off at an island 🩵 #grief

9 years ago we were here in Crete as a family of 4. Now we are only 3 but Tory is always with us. When we stopped at a bar for a drink the next song that came on was a Fleetwood Mac song, Tory’s favourite. I take this as a sign & it brings a little bit of peace ❤️ #grief

Looking out at a view like this and taking the time to appreciate it reminds you that there is still beauty in the world and things that can lift your heart 🩵 #grief

A beautiful photo from our holiday reminded me how lonely grief can feel. Sometimes that’s positive as it gives me space to think about Tory. I also remember that there are so many people who care & have been with me on this journey for which I am truly grateful 🩵#grief

Happy I brought the sunny weather with me back from Crete!! Managed to have a day gardening yesterday & tidied ‘Tory’s Garden’. Now the tulips & bluebells have gone lots of summer plants & roses are giving it a wonderful splash of colour….bright & beautiful like Tory 🩵 #grief

Perfect 30 degrees weather to help my daughter pack up her uni room 🥵🤣🤣 Definitely need a cool drink and a sit down when we are finished!!!

In Nottingham as I’m doing external examining for their undergraduate chemistry programme. A little sign from Tory as we had dinner at the Victoria Hotel tonight 🩵 #grief

I love being back in London….the piano playing at St Pancras, a lovely flower display, hearing many different accents, the black cabs, car horns tooting, red buses, the fast pace……and being 1 train journey closer to home….1 delayed train journey home of course 🤣

Thinking of my beautiful daughter Tory on #NationalBereavedParentsDay Missed & loved so very much. Tory died in 2022 from a pulmonary embolism with little to no symptoms. A cruel sudden death. I try to honour her by living my life to the full but it’s hard without her. ❤️🩵💙

In between the heavy rain we managed to walk down to Tory’s bench today. It was so peaceful to sit there and watch the bees 🐝 on the flowers. Two beautiful lilac butterflies and three electric blue damson flies put on a beautiful show for us. Tory would approve #grief

Hot and tired Henry tonight…. but never too tired for a little bit of salad 🥗🧡 Still love those tiny paws 🐾 😊

A few days off work so time to relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Day out in London today, one of the best cities in the world. I know I commute in every day for work but it’s nice to come in with time to enjoy ❤️

You know you haven’t been sleeping well for days when you start to feel jealous of a hamster 😆! Henry looks so cute all snuggled up and sleeping beautifully 🧡

Sad to say that my little Henry died 💙. I gave him his little treat which he always waited for every evening before I go to bed. He ate it all up but in the morning I found him curled up in his bed & he’d died. Glad he didn’t seem to suffer at all but I’ll miss my little pall 😢

I miss this happy beautiful girl so much 🩵. This photo of Tory was from our first post Covid holiday in the Isle of Wight. Always a huge smile on her face. Tonight her sister & I are going to watch the new Bridget Jones movie. I so wish Tory was with us #grief

Charlie, George & I had a lovely day in the garden 💚. Instead of gardening I relaxed & read my kindle & enjoyed seeing all the lovely flowers & the other animals & birds visiting the garden (squirrels, parakeets, Mervin the mouse, my little Robin & lots of birds etc). Lovely 😊

Wedding anniversary today! My hubby made me laugh so much on our first date and he still manages to make me laugh. He’s my rock, my best friend and his support is endless. I couldn’t have got through the past 3 years without him by my side. I’m very lucky 💕

Gardening has been my therapy since losing my daughter Tory & I feel her smile when all the flowers are blooming. I pick a rose from the garden & put it in the vase she made me at school. A red admiral fluttered all around me which I take as a sign of approval from her ❤️ #grief
