Tropical Depression 7 officially forms in the Central Atlantic, this is forecast to become tropical storm Gabrielle later today and a hurricane by the weekend. No impact to the U.S expected, but Bermuda needs to be on high alert.

Gabrielle is battling some wind shear and dry air-- not looking powerful this morning. The storm will briefly weaken over the next 24 hours before strengthening through the weekend. Gabrielle is forecast to be a cat 1 hurricane by Monday

Look up towards the east this morning and you'll see our crescent moon, Venus shining bright close next to it, and a drop of Jupiter (Train ans anyone?) Super cool!

We officially have invest 94 and 93-L in the Atlantic-- no threat to the Bay area, but we will have to watch the Carolina coastline carefully. Right now it looks like a disorganized low could bring lots of rain early next week, but still worth watching.

NHC now giving Invest 93-L a 90% chance of development over the next 48 hours-- a depression could form later today. Still watching 94-L as it could develop and impact parts of the Bahamas and near the Atlantic coastline.

Tropical Storm Humberto expected to stay out to sea and become our 3rd major hurricae of the season next week

If you ave family or friends along the Georgia to Carolina coast, this potential storm will need to be atched carefully.. models this morning favoring a more westerly shift. A landfall is possible early next week with what could be Tropical Storm Imelda

Steamy morning will lead to a hot and humid day with "feels-like" temperatures climbing into the upper 90s to triple digits for much of the afternoon. Isolated coastal storms possible, but best chance for rain (although low) will be inland for the evening commute.

A few inland showers rolling in this morning around Imelda which currently sits in the Bahamas. Expect on and off showers to roll in from the northeast through the day along with breezy conditions.

We officially have Hurricane Imelda! This will bring us another breezy day and we could havea few wrap-around showers after 6 PM as the storm continues to push east.
