We've received reports from people hearing loud explosion noises in the area. Well, we've confirmed that those are coming from a rock quarry south of the Minnesota River. It is not related to any City of Chaska work.

Traffic Alert 🚨 E 3rd St will be closed today (12/7) from Hwy 41 to Walnut St. This will only be from 1pm - 5:30pm for Hometown Holiday. Hometown Holiday is a free community event from 2pm - 5pm and will have music, fire pits/smores, carriage rides, Santa, llamas, and more!

Public safety crews are on scene of a natural gas line rupture near the intersection of Stoughton Ave. and Heldt St. Homes near the rupture have been evacuated. Stoughton Ave, between Zemble St. and Ringenbach St., is temporarily closed. Updates will be posted here.

Update 10:17am 1/30: CenterPoint crews are on scene. We expect the Stoughton Ave closure to remain in place for a few more hours. We’ll continue to update here.
