Yesterday's incident of loose horses in the City was a very rare occurrence.

However, these articles from 120 years ago unearth that it was a much more regular incident for our officers to deal with.

An update following this morning’s incident with Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment horses in London.

Three of our soldiers are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Our horses are also safe, and are undergoing veterinary care. (1/2)

At around 8.40am, we were called about horses that had became loose and were travelling through the City.

Our officers have contained two horses on the Highway near Limehouse. We’re waiting for an Army horse box to collect the horses and transport them to veterinary care.

Jade Charles, 35, was arrested for possession of a firearm & ammunition at last year's Notting Hill Carnival thanks to the teamwork of Met & City of London Police officers working on the security operation.

He was jailed for 5 years on 19 Apr.

A man has been charged with two counts of sexual touching of a minor.

On 25 August 2023, it is alleged that the man sexually assaulted the minor at two locations in the City.

Hassnain Shahzad, 26, from Ilford has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates on 20 May.
