Southbound Airport Road at U.S. 380 will be closed for repair work to the waterline on Wednesday, April 24 starting at 9 a.m. They will assess if the repair can be done the same day or if this will be multiple days closure.

The monthly test of the Outdoor Warning System (OWS) will be performed today, April 6, at noon.

In an actual emergency when the OWS is activated, move indoors, seek more information and monitor TV, radio or other media for necessary actions.

There was a false siren activation this afternoon around 3:35 p.m. near Sorrell Road and Hardin Boulevard. The radio specialist has been contacted and is looking into the issue.

The North Texas Municipal Water District is temporarily changing the disinfectant in its water treatment process from March 4 through April 1.

The annual, routine change is necessary to maintain the regional system and year-round water quality.
