Very sad to learn Douglas Trumbull has died. I was lucky enough to see him give a talk over Zoom back in 2020. Of course he was an absolute visionary, but I'll always remember how dynamic, warm & generous he was in sharing his knowledge and love of the cinema with young scholars.
