The report highlights ‘findings from Canada that “palliative care resources were disproportionately consumed by MAiD requests while non-MAiD patients had reduced access to palliative care”’ #R4today

This is a thoughtful piece on some of the complexity not covered by #R4today earlier on assisted dying / suicide

If researchers don’t report the ethnicity, socioeconomic position etc of research participants, how do we know if interventions work as well in different groups?
The answer is we don’t. And we therefore risk inadvertently widening inequalities.
We have to get better at this.
