Stoke Space isn’t getting enough attention in the space community. Aside from SpaceX they are the only company working on a fully reusable launcher. They are targeting next year for their maiden flight, and it looks like they might make it.

First data on the #BionM №2 experiments: 65 of 75 mice returned back to Earth safely. The scientists from #IMBP believe it’s a good result, they will find out what and when happened to the mice who didn’t. The other experiments are in good condition too. t.me/imbp_ru/522

Two variants of HTV-R, an upgrade to JAXA’s HTV to add cargo return capability Original (Left) was cheaper to develop but cost more to fly and needs H-IIB to launch (16.5 tons) Updated (Right) was more expensive to develop but cheaper to fly and can launch on H-IIA (8.5 tons)

Not all parachutes remain close to Earth; one of the furthest uses of a parachute system occurred in January 2005 when the Huygens probe landed safely on Titan, the largest moon of Saturn.

Even though the parachute of Huygens could not be tested on Titan. A drop test was done in 1995 at Esrange. Using a balloon, the capsule was lifted to 37.5km, showing the parachute system worked as expected. buff.ly/x0kyUAa
