My name is Gerard McMahon a member of CFD proudly servicing my community for the past 39 years. My Dad was the 1st Fire Chief of the Community of Kinkora. My nephew William & my son Robbie have also joined CFD to help service their community, it’s a family tradition.

Meet Captain Rob Flanagan. Rob will be completing his 41st year with the department in July. He reminds everyone if you have an oven fire, turn off the heat and keep oven door closed.

Say hello to Safety Officer Jamie Quinn. Jamie has been with the department for 30 years. He wants to remind all that when using a microwave oven open food slowly, away from face. Hot steam can cause burns.

Meet Firefighter Brendan Rodgers. Brendon will soon have a year under his belt with the department. Brendon reminds all to keep the area around your dryer clear of things that can burn, boxes, cleaning supplies, clothing.

Meet Firefighter Bryan Daye. Bryan has been with the department for nearly 6 years. He wants to remind everyone that matches & lighters should be placed out of reach of children. Fire moves fast and can hurt. Don’t place your children at risk.

Say hi to Captain Tim Jenkins. Tim has been active with the department for over 30 years. He is taking this opportunity to remind boaters that CO can collect anywhere in and around a boat. Install CO alarms inside your boat. Test alarms before each trip.

Meet Rakesh Uthaman Rakesh will be with the depart 2 years soon. He would like everyone to take a moment today & test their smoke alarms. Place alarms in all sleeping rooms and on every level.

Meet Lt. James O’Connor James will be celebrating 20 years with the department in November. James wants to remind you to react immediately if an alarm sounds, you see smoke, or fire & exit the building quickly. Once out of a burning building stay out .
