A year ago, I began the drive from Minneapolis to Atlanta to write a lot of “Ant.” Along the way, I stopped in Chicago to talk with Chris and Mya Hinton, who had me over for brunch and way too many mimosas to talk about a young Ant. They had me back over today for more mimosas.

I’m old enough to remember two years ago, when Anthony Edwards had a few good games in FIBA, the 48-hour NARRATIVE became Minnesota wasn’t gonna be a big enough market for him. Set your watch by those kind of takes when the NBA content calendar gets slow from mid-July to Oct.
