100%! Seen it many times! The Little League stud doesn’t always roll over into High School and I’ve seen kids that were not very good in little league become HS studs! Too many kids that were big and strong in LL thought they could carry that into HS without working hard!

One of my rules as a coach… you do not engage the other team. Starts at the top. Don’t care if other team is chirping… my rule is, we won’t! Teach class!

Coaches, if a fellow coach contacts you requesting a game, please give the common courtesy of responding. A simple, “No thank you” will do if you don’t want to play. Not responding at all is unprofessional. Very clear the coaches who care vs. the coaches who don’t.

Saw another great young man I got the privilege of coaching, Gabe Garcia, at church this morning! One of the hardest workers I’ve ever known. He’ll be a guaranteed success in whatever path he chooses. The best part about coaching, watching young kids turning into great young men!

Such a sad day with the loss of a one of my heroes and mentors! Coach Massick taught us to be men first. He always ended practice with some straight forward, blunt, in your face reality or truism about life. Always wanting us to be better people. RIP Coach! I’ll never forget you!

I’ve had the honor and privilege of coaching Colfax HS Baseball with David Stallions and GCC-Craig_Kelley (not pictured)for the past 8 years.Tonight as a staff we got our 100th win. A testament to the hard work and dedication of all the boys who have played for us over the past 8 years.
