Op 4 mei denk ik aan mijn oudoom Siert Kooi, accountant in Alphen die in het verzet zat. Hij werd gevangengenomen door de nazi's, opgesloten in Neuengamme en stierf in Meppen-Versen in 1944. Hij liet een vrouw en vier jonge kinderen achter. Hij ligt begraven in Osnabrück.
