Statewide school wastewater testing has confirmed the presence of nitazenes, a dangerous synthetic opioid, in communities across our state. Nitazenes—which can be 5 to 10 times more potent than fentanyl—have recently been identified in counterfeit pills, powders, unregulated

I’m amazed. It’s really true: the BA.3.2 COVID lineage is infecting children at a much higher rate than previous lineages. I’m late to this party, but I couldn’t really believe it was true until I did the analysis for myself. 1/

Polymarket I would characterize this analysis as off by approximately 2 magnitudes when merely considering the likely excess death toll in the U.S. alone. That is the state of the world. People do not realize the "big numbers" are actually small numbers, substantial underestimates.

The Delta CEO won't commit to lowering ticket prices if jet fuel prices go down. When asked if his company would lower prices if fuel costs dropped, he instead said that lower fuel costs would "certainly help us boost our margins this year and clearly into next year as well.”

This is weird. In the last week of US wastewater sampling BA.3.2 was in half of the samples. But in the same period it was only in 1% of patient sequences. Maybe this is good; maybe it's so mild they aren't testing. Or maybe they aren't testing kids.

I still can’t get my head wrapped around this one. The president is having a satellite burnt up because he doesn’t like the information It is sending back to us telling us we are killing the planet.

Study of neuro #LongCovid patients found pTau-181 (marker of Alzheimer's/brain injury) increased by 59% after COVID. Interestingly, levels increased more AFTER 1.5 years from infection (only 15% increased in the before-1.5 year time period). thelancet.com/journals/ebiom… 1/

SARS-CoV-2 sequences submitted today w/age data: BA.3.2 — 15/17 sequences ages 0-17 non-BA.3.2 — 5/20 sequences ages 0-17 These were from South Korea and Maryland, USA. BA.3.2's propensity for children is undeniable at this point. Not sure there's any point belaboring it.

I hate to say I told you so but... Since I posted this (3 days ago) there have been over 130 BA.3.2 sequences released (more than doubling the US total). Every one of them was from NY, MD, NJ, and MA Shit don't lie.
