Incredibly strong earthquake happened last night off the east coast of Russia. It was tied for 6th strongest on Earth! Tsunamis have been reported across the Pacific with this. #mewx

Good Monday afternoon! Toasty out there with temps well into the 80s in most spots, and also quite hazy with the thick wildfire smoke overhead. Air quality alert continues until 11pm tonight. Smoke should get better the next few days! #mewx

While milky, hazy skies are likely to stick around for the next couple days, at the very least the air quality impacts will improve a good bit on Tuesday as the smoke near the surface gets pushed out of the state. #mewx

Abnormally dry conditions quickly expanding across Maine, and very little rain is expected in the next 7 days. A long-duration heat wave is also increasingly likely next week which will dry us out further. Drought conditions could develop with this pattern. #mewx
