Today marks 200 days of war in Gaza. From the outset our local partners provided emergency support to the ill & injured, those in need of food & water & those forced to flee their homes. Despite being displaced themselves, they continue their heroic efforts to help those in need.

Communities in northern Guatemala are on the sharp end of the climate crisis, swinging from floods to long dry spells. With Irish Aid funds our partner is teaching new farming practices to help families adapt incl staggered planting dates so there's harvests throughout the year.

Tragic to read the situation on the South Sudan border hasn’t improved since I was there last year. People at Renk transit centre were already living cheek by jowl, exposed to the elements with barely any food. Hard to fathom there's now 15,000 people. christianaid.ie/news/news-and-…

Six months into the brutal war in Gaza, Rosamond Bennett explains that we need both a permanent and the opening of all crossings into Gaza for aid convoys to safely deliver aid at the scale and pace needed in order to halt famine.

We strongly welcome this decision. It’s an important step in ensuring Ireland does not provide economic support for illegal Israeli settlement activity. Govt should now progress the John Brady TD Bill to make this permanent, and the Occupied Territories Bill to address trade.

Christian Aid Ireland sends sincere condolences to World Central Kitchen. Our prayers are with the family and friends of the aid workers killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Far too many aid workers have been killed in the line of duty over the last 6 months
