My statement on the resignation of Humza Yousaf as First Minister.

Three teams out in Musselburgh today, lots and lots of positive conversations on local issues. Folk very keen to see a change of government in both Westminster and Holyrood #TimeforChange

Lovely to pop into Portobello Timebank this afternoon for some much-needed coffee with local councillor Jane Meagher.

Such a great organisation bringing the community together and the cake was delicious too. Nice to catch up with so many people!

Interesting doorknocking for Chris Murray in Musselburgh today. Mix of solid Labour voters (inc SNP switchers), undecideds as well as folk still intending to vote SNP,but nearly everyone one of them was seriously pissed off with the party. Chaos of last week mentioned a lot.

Great to be out campaigning in Musselburgh and Inveresk today. Great to hear so many people will be backing Labour in the next election.

I shall leave you to guess what issue came up most on the doorstep today…

Very interesting to talk to folk about the issues that have caught their attention this week.

It was great to join the Muslim community from across Edinburgh, including the Pakistan Society of Edinburgh, at the City Chambers this evening to celebrate Eid.

Wonderful to see so many friends, and meet new people too. A lovely event.

It’s now a matter of when - not if - Humza Yousaf resigns as First Minister.

But this isn’t just about him. We have no confidence in this SNP Government.

Scottish Labour has no confidence in Humza Yousaf and the SNP Government.

We need an election now.

Great to be out chatting to people in Meadowbank today. Like me, many people are angry about the Scottish Government ditching our climate targets.

Climate change is the most pressing issue facing the planet - we need serious, realistic, achievable policy to get to net zero.

Great to see the Musselburgh Sea Cadets’ parade for their 70th birthday celebrations.

Seemingly activists in this campaign come in sets of two!

Promise this is a coincidence.
