The Boosterthon fun run was a huge success today! Incorporated some dancing into the run. Thank you to the PTO for setting it up. Our students had a lot of fun. Parents, we are a little more than halfway to our fundraising goal! Thank you so much for your continued support!

International parents at Mt. Airy MS attended a technology informational event where they learned and received hands-on instruction to log into and navigate the Home Access Center and Schoology, and also about the vision and goals of the school. Food and drinks were provided.

It was a great first day back at MAMS to kick off the New Year! Very thankful for this group of 8th grade students who helped our 1st wave of 6th grade students/parents offload luggage from their cars for outdoor school! We know our 6th graders are having a blast!

Thanks to all who donated food cans over the last month to the Mt. Airy Net. 1,400 items donated. A special thanks to our SGA teacher/student advisors for organizing! It was a great success!

It is school counselors week! We sure are lucky to have Ms. Bohle and Ms. McDermott here at MAMS. Their dedication, passion, and genuine care for students/staff has been invaluable and has positively impacted the lives of many! Thanks for all you do!

It’s that time of year. Snakes were in the building!!! Thank you to Reptile world for an amazing 7th grade presentation. Thank you to our PTO and Ms. Clemens for making today a reality for our students. Don’t worry, all the reptiles are accounted for!

A is for Africa! Today, students in all grades had the privilege to hear from Mr. and Ms. Smith on how they can help students at the primary Matim school in Tanzania, Africa. This cause is near and dear to us at MAMS.

We couldn’t be more thankful for Ms. Obremski, Ms. Mason, Ms. Phillips, and Ms. Hood! They do so much for our students, staff, and community! We hope you have a great day as we show you our appreciation!

Today, our 8th grade was captivated by a powerful guest speaker, Lola Hahn. Ms. Hahn shared her mother and Aunt’s story on surviving the Holocaust. To hear first hand the level of courage and resilience her family demonstrated during the Holocaust was eye opening!

It’s been a great week welcoming our new staff to MAMS. After a long week of meetings and professional development, we ventured out for some much needed Jimmie Cone! We are lucky to have this group of educators join the Bulldog family!

As you venture through 6th grade this morning, you’ll learn about conduction, evaluating expressions, plotting on a coordinate plan, compound words, and you’ll even take a little tour of the caves in France! Great instruction and learning! Well done 6th grade!

I’ve never seen a group of students so happy to work as a team to clean up the Tech Ed workshop! Parents, note this enthusiasm when it is time for your student to clean their room up at home 🙂. 8th grade, great job working together!
