Yuta Watanabe announcing his decision to return to Japan, two months ahead of his NBA player option date, suggests he's declining that option. Will save the Grizzlies a little bit of wiggle room as they likely go into the tax next season.

Things you find while packing. This is a Pavement set list. Given the WOWEE ZOWEE songs, probably from their 1995 Wilco double-bill at First Ave. Not my handwriting. Don’t remember anything about it.

You truly never know what you're going to get. This game has been GREAT. Four straight from LeBron to give the Lakers a three-point lead after losing it. Grizzlies ball. 16 seconds to play.

Scotty Pippen Jr. having the game of his career against his old team. Already a career high 28 and just poked the ball from D'Angelo Russell, dove hard to get it and send it to LaRavia for a lineup. Five-point Lakers lead, six minutes to play.

LaRavia absolutely smothered by Lebron on the last possession, but earning that level of attention was a kind of victory.

Jake LaRavia and GG Jackson with 17 each as Grizzlies trail Lakers 68-64 at the half. You don't want to make too much of what LaRavia has done down the stretch of this lost season, but it's so easy to imagine him *not* doing this, even with the opportunity.
